Tips on Drawing Pages

This entry is to help you draw the comic pages for One Way, featured here in our group, #Dream-Catchers-ZForm. Listed below are the guidelines for the general appearance for the characters. I say guidelines because we will allow the artist working on the pages a room to add their own artistic touch to the characters as a way to express their individuality as well as add their style as a contribution to our group. We value diversity and innovation. So we invite you to use your imagination and above all, have fun with it! Also you will see all other information pertaining to settings, terms and everything that is used and referenced in OW in order for you to get familiarized and feel comfortable in drawing for our group.

If for anything, feel free to ask ~Queenz14, me, ~Eyesta and any other member for advice.

One Way Universe

About One Way...

    Emiko is a normal high school student with friends, and over protective dad, and tons of drama. But here's the catch, she's a telekinetic—which means she can move objects with her mind. An ability the she keeps secret from everyone; with only her father and her best friend Akatarou knowing about it.

    On her way to school one morning, she bumps into a weird guy. He called himself Takeshi and asked her for her help; immediately identifying her ablity to move objects. Brushing it off, she continued on her way to school.

    Next thing you know, that same boy was a new student in her class. As the days goes by, things start to unravel and come to light.

    A distant kingdom, the ninhousekai, monsters with paralyzing abilities, and demons known as Yokai.

    But little does she know that those things have everything to do with her, the purpose of her very existence.

One Way Story Summary

The Beginning

Five thousand years ago...

A huge conflict broke out between the human race and those of the Yokai. The fighting between them grew to be so fierce that if something were not to be done the balance of power would be toppled and the yokai will begin to out number them and would completely eliminate their valuable food source.

Yomogati Yomito, a young demon fox, stepped out and decided to work for a way to prevent this from happening. He was different from the rest in the fact that he saw humans more than just a source of food. In short, he worked with a group of Shinto priests from the Yamaguchi clan toOW - Story Summary by *Nevaresor

The New World

The world that is known by the human race. The demons refer to this place as "The New World" because changes they have done with the progress of science and technology. Our world is nothing but an alternate universe for them for they constantly live in one era.

The High School
The school that Emiko, Aku, Kemi and where most of the story takes place. It is a general public school with a strict dress code requiring students to wear uniforms. The student body is composed of an even mix of male and female students. There is also different social classes that go to this school. Which explains how Kemi, iOW - New World by *Nevaresor

The Unwritten Parts

Long before a written language was ever developed, demons thrived and co-existed with humans. It was a violent and turbulent relationship. With the constant animosity building up between the human and yokai, a powerful seal was placed separating them isolating the demons from the lives of human beings.

The existence of demons and the terrors they have caused, remained in the memories of the people that existed in that era, their stories were passed down by word of mouth to their decendants and became the myths and folklore that we believe to this day.

About One Way...

okay, i finished the sketch for page 8 of chapter 1, but theres an issue, its, alot to fit on one page, i might have to make a part 2 page of it -__- or idk i'll try and see if i could fit the last panel in it.. but i'll show you what the sketch looks like now
